SATURDAY 11/8/25 - Dick, Dennis and Paul finished the primary full corner end homabed installation today and sanded the homabed even with Paul's belt sander to level it all. They started painting but ran out of paint. The paint seals the homabed so that it will not swell from the 50/50 glue/water mix that is used when ballasting the track. Since homabed is a compressed pulp board, any water will expand the fibers and create an uneven surface and totally wreck reliable train running. This prep work ensures that there will be great sound deadening from the homabed while providing a great surface for laying track.
