I remember playing with my father's old American Flyer train set in the basement of my grandfather's house when I was young. As I got older I asked my father if I could have his set to use and expand on to. We would go to Amato's in New Britain to purchase different cars before going to local train shows. As I got older I kept on getting new engines and cars. Currently I create custom loads for American Flyer cars to make all those empty hoppers, flatcars, and gondolas more interesting as the train passes by. You can see some of my creations in the photos below. I also created a small diorama to bring to train shows to display the different creations that I have made.
