Connecticut S Gauger Mark Anderson at the throttle of his American Flyer trainset in Thomaston, CT.
Mark Anderson
Mark Anderson, like so many an S Gauger, started out with an American Flyer trainset as a kid. In 1953, at the age of three, Mark received a set that he still has today, although sans locomotive. This first set was located in the railroad depot where his grandfather worked and lived in Illinois.
Mark uses all original American Flyer® track, turnouts, transformers and rolling stock on his L shaped layout. Mark makes liberal use of buildings and structures from Plasticville, Bachmann and K-Line. The background is made of styrofoam.
